 Rahvusvaheline koolidevaheline koostööprojekt Strategies Towards European Plurilingualism Alates 2015.-2016. õppeaastast osaleb Lähte Ühisgümnaasium 2-aastases koolidevahelises koostööprojektis Strategies Towards European Plurilingualism (eesti k. Strateegiad Euroopa mitmekeelsemaks muutmiseks), mida rahastab Euroopa Liidu Erasmus+ programm. Meie partneriteks selles projektis on koolid Saksamaalt, Soomest, Ühendkuningriigist ja Itaaliast.Projekti põhieesmärk on arendada õpilaste võõrkeelteoskusi ning aidata õpetajatel välja töötada didaktilisi materjale võõrkeelte efektiivsemaks õpetamiseks. Projekti käigus külastatakse üksteise koole, koostatakse õppematerjale ja projekti lõpuks valmib projekti tegevusi kajastav DVD.Lisaks meie koolile on projekti kaasatud koolid 4st teisest Euroopa riigist: Otto-Hahn Gymnasium (Ostfildern, Saksamaa),  Vammalan lukio (Sastamala, Soome), Peebles High School (Peebles, Scotland, Ühendkuningriik) ja Instituto Statale di Instruzione Superiore F. Enriques (Castelfiorentino, Itaalia).Esimene projektikohtumine leidis aset Saksamaal 24.-30. novembril 2015. Selles osalesid meie koolist viis õpilast: Agnes Anijalg, Stiina Keskküla, Raili Haaviste, Stiivo Siider ja Robin Siimann. Neid toetasid õpetajad Sirle Pärn ja Kadri Jurs. Selle õppeaasta teine projektikohtumine toimus Soomes 15.-21. jaanuaril ning õpilastest osalesid seal Märt Nõmme, Margus Lehemets, Johanna Kask, Cätlyn Kikerpill ja Joosep Lamp, õpetajatest olid kaasas Mariann Aava ja Sirle Pärn. Kohtumise teemaks oli haridus ning uurisime lähemalt Soome haridussüsteemi ja selle edu põhjuseid.Järgmisel õppeaastal ootavad ees kohtumised meie partneritega Šotimaal (29.09.-05.10) ja Itaalias (24.11-30.11). Projekti viimane kokkusaamine toimub Eestis märtsis 2017.     Comenius Lähte Ühisgümnaasiumis located in the southern part of Estonia, in Tartu municipality.We have about 500 students and the school offers general education on primary school, basic school and secondary school level.Lähte Ühisgümnaasium has had international cooperation funded by the EU since 2010 when the first of the two multilateral Comenius projects started. We have worked together with schools from Finland, Germany, Italy, Spain (Menorca) and Scotland.The name of the Comenius project for school years 2012-2014 was Immigration and Integration: Understanding Cultural Identity. In addition to our school, there were five schools involved: Vammalan lukio (Sastamala, Finland), Otto-Hahn Gymnasium (Ostfildern, Germany), Peebles High School (Peebles, Scotland, UK), Instituto Statale di Instruzione Superiore ”F. Enriques” (Castelflorentino, Italy) and I.E.S. Pasqual Calbó i Caldés (Maó, Spain).The project was divided into six topics and each topic was discussed in one of the partner schools. ESTONIAThe first project visit to Estonia took place on 8th-13th November, 2012. The topic here was the situation regarding immigration and integration in each project partner’s hometown or country. Each school presented their findings and also introduced their country and school as this was the first visit. We also had a trip to Ida-Virumaa, the eastern part of Estonia. All Comenius partners in Estonia.  GERMANYThe second visit to Germany was on 13th – 18th November, 2012. We talked about changes in our work force after the WW II, had group discussions related to the topic and visited a mosque. Listening to a presentation in the mosque. Parents’ night in Peebles High School: Scottish music and dances. SCOTLANDThe fourth visit to Scotland was on 3rd – 8th October, 2013. In Scotland we tried to find out what role religion plays with regard to immigration and integration. All countries gave overview of migration from or to their country due to religion. The Estonian Comenius group talking about religion and immigration.  ITALY The fifth visit to Italy took place on 28th November – 3rd December, 2013. In Italy we discussed the cultural influences of immigration, focussing on each country’s national cuisine. As part of the tasks in Italy, each country had to cook one of their national dishes. The Estonian team is ready to go to the kitchen to prepare the black pudding. The end of the project – planting an olive tree as a sign of friendship. SPAINThe last visit to Spain took place in April 2014. The topic there was national and European citizenship and each country gave an overview of their immigration policies. ” The Estonian group in Menorca. Participating in an international project provided us with an opportunity to improve our language skills (and not only English, but also German, a bit of Spanish and so on) and it definitely made us realise the importance of learning foreign languages. In addition to that, having to perform and socialise in a foreign language on project meetings helped us gain self-confidence. We also learned a lot about the historical background and issues related to immigration and integration in each country.
